MINUTES
1 Lists were circulated to update the following information:
- Players details, DOB, speciality
- Addresses and Mobile Phone Numbers
- Preferred airport for departure and accommodation dates in Australia
- Payment of £30 membership and £10 attendance
Please note we still do not have contact details for Steve Taylor. Not everyone has paid their £30 membership yet.
2 Arif opened the meeting at 1600 and welcomed all to the 2007 Team GB and looking forward to an enthusiastic preparation for the Australia tournament on the Gold Coast in September.
3 Apologies from Martin/Steve/Adrian/Ash/Kevin. Kal attended but unable to play due to injury. Dave Graham and Sanj have withdrawn from the team.
Nick and Kal have been invited to join the team.
4 Thank you to Eric Harrison for attending and taking the training session. Eric expressed his pleasure at the standard of training and advised he would endeavour to make it to other sessions. He advised us to keep working on fitness and ball possession, and to remember to bring fluids to the next training session.
5 The expected tournament costs were presented and it is expected for all players to commit by paying the non-refundable deposit of £650 as soon as possible and before March 18th.
This will go towards B+B accommodation in Australia, tournament entry, kit and the Coach expenses.
The tournament is on the back of a Sports Medicine Conference and will be a great social and professional opportunity for all who partake.
6 Travel, it is hoped as far as possible we can all travel out together. There is a feeling that most will go from either Manchester or London. Gillian Norris will try to get some ideas of costing and group booking discount and we hope to be in a position to start booking ASAP.
NOTE: We need to know when people would like to travel and any partners and number of children that are accompanying and dates the accommodation is required from. Tickets are going fast and we need to have 10 people or more travelling from the same outbound date and location to get the discounts (please advise Arif of your travel plans unless you already have).
7 The Austrian team will be attending for the weekend 8-9 June. Joe Hall will arrange a match on the Sat 9th and for those available to join the opposition for a curry afterwards in East London.
8 March 18th training in Cardiff. This will be a match and times to be confirmed by Martin Lee.

9 Spit roast!! July August Paul Fourie will host a football game and then a garden party for players and families. Confirmed as July 14th, in Blackburn.
